This has been a busy Fall! But now the kitchen ( The PROJECT for 2008) is near completion and I can take a "breather"!

There's been a lot of things going on while I was busy sawing, screwing and painting! The economic systems of the world have really demonstrated how interdependent they are. Volvo and SAAB may be returning to Swedish ownership or they may be bought up by a corporation in China.

Thousands of workers, white- and blue collar, private and public service employees are being given notice or being laid off from their jobs. All over the world! The "educated Guess" seems to be that it will take two or three years for the worlds economy to "get back on its feet"

Less than two years ago, our right wing government made changes in the unemployment insurance that put unemployed people out of the insurance system after one year. Their reasoning then was that there are "jobs for everyone that really wants to work!" This was thought to save money for the taxpayers (that is, the people who have jobs)! What will happen is that when men and women become uninsured after a year, they will have to go to the Social Insurance office in their city for help, and the cost for society will not be less, but the pain for the unemployed will be greater.  Our politicians should be ashamed of themselves!!

The grass in our garden is shining emerald with morning dew and the moss, crabgrass and late dandelions mix in harmony with the struggling grass.  Christinas flowers courageously put forth new, last minute buds and attract the summers last bumble bees... It's nearly magical!

This will be interesting!

We move here from Microsofts Spaces so that we won't have to see a lot of ads for matchmaking, cars and pills for long life! We will continue to sporadically publish news from our corner of the world (Tockarp, Glimåkra, Sweden) for family and friends. The old blogg (http://clintsplace1.spaces.live.com/default.aspx) is still active and can be referred to at any time.

The most exciting news today is, of course, the birth of Malin and Manojs Jonathan Matai Crossley Rajadyn! Now all they need is for Manoj to come to Sweden, and someplace to hang their hats!
